2025 Summer Baseball League

2025 Summer Baseball League

Kids do not play select baseball for a variety of reasons (time commitment, the financial investment, etc.), but those that don't play select can also benefit from additional playing time. This summer league offers these kids a great opportunity to step on the field in the sunshine and continue their development.

*If you register before April 15th, you will receive a 4 game punch card for the 2025 Bellingham Bells season!*

Dates: June 9-August 9
  • Week of June 9 - Player evaluation practice at Base by Pros Skagit.
  • Week of June 16 - First team practice. All practices will be held at Base By Pros Skagit.
  • June 21 - Game 1
  • Games will be played on Saturdays from June 21 to August 9.
  • No game on July 5.

Cost:
  • $350 (Ages 8-12)
  • $750 (Ages 13-18)
  • The registration fee includes a jersey and a hat.

Ages: 8-18
  • Junior Bells players age groups will be the age of the child as of August 1 of the current year.
  • All players must have one year of baseball experience (in a baseball program or organization in the past).

Locations
  • Practices will be held during the week at Base By Pros Skagit.
  • Ages 8-12: Tuesday 6:00-7:30pm
  • Ages 13-18: Wednesday 6:00-7:30pm
  • Games will be held in Skagit or Whatcom County.
  • Expect more information in May.

What To Expect
  • 14 7-inning Saturday Games (doubleheaders for 13+), 7 7-inning Saturday games (single games for 8-12)
  • 8 practices at the Base By Pros Skagit Facility
  • Relief pitching options to preserve arms
  • All players bat
  • Regular defensive rotations (no more than 2 innings on the bench)

Games will be seven innings long. To preserve arms, coaches or a machine will be ready to step in once pitch counts have been met. Unlike a normal league, team wins and losses will be worth consideration for bragging rights, but the Summer League will ultimately be about individual development.

Cancellations and Extensions: If cancellations are made due to weather, games may or may not be rescheduled. Practices will not be rescheduled.

Equipment: Players will need to have their own athletic shoes, glove, bat, and helmet.

Refund Policy: Program fees are non-refundable unless authorized by the Program Director. If a participant needs to cancel, please reach out to [email protected]

Coaching: Coaches are volunteers and Base By Pros will have one coach at every game. We will also provide coaching mentors and other resources.

Scholarship Information: The Junior Bells are committed to accessible baseball opportunities for youth athletes in Whatcom County. Consistent with that mission, we will provide scholarships for both the youth league and camps. All athletes are welcome to apply for financial assistance. However, the Junior Bells Development Program gives preference to families who qualify for reduced or free lunch from Bellingham Public Schools (see information here) or your respective school district.
